Het maken van een GPRS connectie met de Ipaq H4350 (41XX serie of 43XX serie) en de Sonyericsson t630 (of t610 of t616)
Netwerk: Vodafone NL
- Open the startmenu en choose "settings"
- Choose the tab connections
- Then you can choose the icon "Connections"
- Choose from any settings menu the Add a new Modem connection
Fill in the next data:
"Enter a name for the connection": "GPRS"
and by Select a modem: "Bluetooth Dialup modem".
Push next
Fill in the next phonenumber: *99***1#
or *98***1#
Then go to use dialing rules
Push the "Use dialing rules" box on
Push the "New" button and fill in:
Name: mobile
Leave all other things empty
Push "Dialing patterns"
Fill in:
For local calls: G
For long distance calls: G
For international calls: G
Then push OK twice on the right top side of the screen.
Then select mobile and push OK again
Push the next button (perhaps you have to enter a zero by "Area code:")
Then you have to insert the User name and Password, both vodafone.
Push the button "Advanced"
Fill in the next things by tab General:
Baud rate: 115200
Wait for credit card: 0 sec.
Extra dial-string-modem commands: +cgdcont=1,"IP","live.vodafone.com"
And select the box "Cancel if not connected in 120 sec"
Push OK and Push finish
Again push OK to leave the connections page.
Make sure that you see Bluetooth Settings menu on the Connections page
(If not, select in the Advanced tab the button "Select Networks". In the netwerk management page you should choose by "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:" Bluetooth Setting)
Push OK in the top right of your screen.
The connections is made, now we have to connect the sonyericsson t630 (or t610, t616) to the Ipaq H4350 of other 41XX series and 43XX series.
Go to the Today screen and push on the Bluetooth icon in the bottem right position in the screen.
Than choose Bluetooth manager and tap on "new"
You are in the following screen:
Choose "connect to Internet via phone"
(make sure you mobile is turned on and Bluetooth is turned on)
Than choose next, and again tap next.
You should see your mobile phone, tap on it.
You must enter a 4 number code, which you have to fill in later on your phone. Push enter after filling in the code.
Your phone now is asking you to fill in that code to make the connection complete. (the phone disconnects, but that's no problem)
In the next screen on the Ipaq you must select "use this phone as default internet connection" and select "GPRS" below "New Connection"
Choose Next, and finish.
Go to you IE and try the connection. It should work!
